Mystery Pen made of ruby, sapphires. emeralds and accented by diamonds

This Mystery pen is truly a masterpiece of the jeweler’s art. It is said to be, the most expensive writing instrument ever created.
And I wish someone would gift me this pen on a special day.

This beautiful and well decked pen is a join creation of MontblancVan Cleef & Arpels and is the reflection of the expertise of two luxury industry giants, who celebrated their centennials in 2006.

This mystery pen comes in three versions i.e. ruby, sapphires and emeralds, accented by diamonds. There are three versions of each pen for a total of nine. Each pen has 840 diamonds and 20 carats of gemstones that patented “Mystery Setting” that conceals the stone settings.

It is made on the culet, the bottom facet of the stone, which is then slid onto the threads of the lattice design so that the stones can be held in place side by side . The Mystery pen can be bought at the retail of $730,000.
